For the Finnish futsal men, a loss to Moldova – a tough World Cup qualifying group ahead

Finland and Moldova had already secured access to the further qualifiers. The loss, however, meant that the group win was lost and the next qualifying group was more difficult.

Finland continues the World Cup qualifiers in a group with Poland, Spain and Georgia. The two best in the group advance to the next round.

– Scoring was one big problem in the game, and another problem was in pressing. We were often a bit too late, experienced Finnish player Mikko Kytölä said in the press release.

Moldova took a 2-0 lead in the match, and Finland’s only goal was scored by Juhana Jyrkiäinen in 22:54 . Moldova won all three matches in their home tournament. Finland defeated Wales and Northern Ireland and lost to Moldova.
