Northern Ireland national team defender Paddy McNair spends a third night in the hospital in Helsinki. McNair’s liver ruptured on Sunday in the European Championship qualifying match against Finland.

The Manchester United defender will fly home on Wednesday. He is expected to be fit to play after a two-week layoff.

United sent medical personnel to monitor McNair’s condition. The Northern Ireland national team doctor also stayed in Helsinki with McNair.
