Former Finnish prime minister Sanna Marin  enjoyed a meeting with her boss today – another former Prime Minister.

The 38-year-old former Finnish leader shared a photo of herself with the ex Labour Party  leader and Dorin Recean, the prime minister of Moldova, during a meeting in the Swiss resort of Davos today.

Sanna, who served as PM of  Finland from 2019 to 2023, is now working as a strategic counsellor for Tony Blair’s Institute for Global Change, a London-based policy think-tank.

In the photos, the stylish Finn wore a chic fitted white short-sleeved jumper with gold button detail and a pair of navy trousers. Meanwhile Mr Blair, 70, looked sharp in a navy blue suit.

Marin regularly posts on Instagram and followed up the photo with a snap of her being driven through the mountains of Switzerland as she left the meeting and headed back to Helsinki.

The Finnish former politician regularly meets political movers and shakers in her activism role – and shares both the jet-set meetings and her more relaxed travels with her million followers on Instagram.

Marin, who was known as the ‘party Prime Minster’ for going out and enjoying herself while in office, enjoyed a ‘single girl summer’ after losing the Finnish general election and divorcing her husband.

Holiday pit-stops in 2023 included Notre Dame with Finnish MP Ilmari Nurminen, a fellow Social Democratic Party MP who has been described by Marin as her ‘bestie’, and dentist friend Aapo Hettula.

Other snaps showed her enjoying a drink in a wine bar, posing with her former chief of staff Tuulia Pitkänen. She also headed to Flow – a music festival in Helsinki.

Appearing much more like a typical 30-something rather than a former world leader, the ‘rock star’ politician opted for chunky heels with a mini skirt and bralette in a series of photos she shared to Instagram at the time.

The former Prime Minister, who was just 34 when she took office in 2019, also headed to LA in 2023 where she met list A-lister Sharon Stone  among others in the Beverley Hills set.

While in Los Angeles she joined the Basic Instinct actress, 65, for a lunch at the Finnish Consulate. Sharon was invited for her was activism work.

It appears the pair became fast friends after discussing democracy, human rights, and equal opportunities over lunch.

Sanna shared a snap of the unlikely pair, Sharon gushed: ‘You are so cool so smart and so beautiful. That must be too tough for the men to cope with.’

Sharon may be referencing Sanna’s recent divorce.  She split amicably with husband of three years, Markus Raikkonen in May.

While in Southern California, Sanna also shared snaps from the Beverly Hills Hotel – an exclusive A-list hangout. She also chatted to students at UCLA.

She stepped down from her role as chair of the centre-left Social  Democrats  party in 2023, after her party narrowly lost an election in April.
