An image of a young Israeli man who looks like he could be the new King of the Hill.
The image, taken by photographer Yossi Ben-Avraham, was widely shared on social media and in Israel’s media as the Israeli teen in a red and black jacket appeared to make a controversial speech.
But as Ben-avraham reported on his Instagram account, the image was taken at a protest in Tel Aviv, not the streets of the capital.
And while the photo was widely retweeted, Ben-acram said it was taken by a person he was not familiar with.
“My friend was in the background and I didn’t even see him,” he said.
“I did not even see what he was wearing.
I just saw the photo.”
He added that he thought the person in the picture was a member of the Palestinian Authority, but was unaware that the young man was Palestinian.
“When I was photographing the protest, the guy in the red shirt and the girl were talking to each other,” Ben-accram said.
When he asked the photographer about it, he said the photo had been taken by his friend, who he said was the person he saw in the photo.
“The picture was taken in the street and he was dressed in a shirt that I didn`t recognize,” he added.
Ben-cram said he didn’t see any Palestinian in the photograph, which was uploaded on his Facebook page on Sunday.
When asked about the photo, a Palestinian Authority spokesperson told Haaretz, “The Palestinian Authority condemns the violence of those who carry out the crimes of terrorism, violence, and incitement, as well as any forms of violence.”
However, the Palestinian leadership has not condemned the incident and did not immediately respond to Haaretz’s request for comment.
According to the Palestinian Information Center, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has killed more than 1,500 Palestinians and hundreds of Israelis since 1967.
The United Nations has estimated that some 1.6 million Palestinians are homeless, according to the United Nations Population Fund.
Israel maintains a large settlement population in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, where Palestinians want to establish independent states.
Israeli authorities have also said that the West Jerusalem settlement of Beit El is illegal under international law.
Israel and the Palestinians have also clashed at the border, with Israel frequently firing warning shots in response to Palestinian rocket fire into the Israeli territory.
Israeli media have reported that Israeli security forces have detained a Palestinian man in the southern West Bank town of Efrat in recent weeks for allegedly attacking a settler, though the incident has not been officially confirmed.
Haaretz also reported that a man in Tel Haifa has been detained by Israeli police after allegedly attacking Israeli soldiers during clashes.
Israeli police have also detained three Palestinian youths in recent days for allegedly throwing stones at Israeli soldiers in the northern West Bank city of Jenin.
The Israeli military said on Tuesday that it would send more soldiers to help with the operation.
On Monday, Israeli police in the Negev Desert in the north of the country said they had detained four Palestinians in connection with the July 16 incident, according the Palestinian Media Watch, a watchdog group.
On Tuesday, Israel’s Civil Administration released photos of the men, who it said were detained for the attack on Israeli soldiers.
The men were seen in the photos wearing red balaclavas and carrying automatic weapons, and had a rifle, according an Israeli military statement.
The statement said the men were also seen in footage filmed at a location near the village of al-Qasr, the site of a July 16 attack in which an Israeli settler was killed.
The IDF had not released the videos, which were taken by video from an Israeli helicopter, on Monday.
A spokesperson for the Civil Administration said the agency would “immediately take measures to apprehend the suspects,” according to Ha’aretz.
The group said the images were taken on July 16, which is the day of the alleged attack.
Israel has repeatedly accused Palestinian militant groups, including Hamas, of launching rocket attacks on Israeli territory, but Israel has accused Palestinian militants of launching them as well.
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, who is in exile in the United States, condemned the attack in a statement.
“This is a despicable attack against the security of our citizens, our citizens in the entire world,” Abbas said.
